Dr. Santiago Orrego currently holds an appointment as Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral Health Sciences and Bioengineering Department at Temple University in Philadelphia. His interdisciplinary research combines approaches from advanced materials, microbiology and engineering towards the development of smart biomaterials to improve oral health. His work encompasses various aspects of antibacterial and regeneration technologies, mechanical properties of mineralized tissues and self-stiffening materials.
